Physical Dice Prints in the Upcoming Campaign
11 months ago – Mon, May 08, 2023 at 11:03:50 AM

Hello Backers!

I found a great manufacturer to make metal prints of three of the sets included in the Epic Collection of Printable Dice Designs Kickstarter, and will be launching a Kickstarter to fund a bulk order for them on May 19, 2023.

Botanical, Helix, and Thorn V2 sets in three different finishes.

If you have enjoyed printing the dice at home and would like physical copies in metal, please visit the link below. This preview page allows you to add comments and suggestions for the page before it launches:

Bonus Files for All Backers
over 1 year ago – Tue, Sep 20, 2022 at 10:21:50 PM

Hello, my excellent backers,

I have prepared a bonus package of printable dice bag and colloidal sphere toy STLs for all backers. If you pledged for between 3 and 10 dice packs, you may receive multiple notification emails about the download. Backers who pledged for one or all dice packs should receive only one notification email.

Soft-Boiled Geodesics

Most of my current STL dice packs and those I create in the future will be available at:

Metal prints of my dice can be found at Only-Games.co since the Shapeways prices for steel have increased dramatically. My whole collection will be up there eventually, and the link is:

Surveys Go Out This Week
over 1 year ago – Mon, Jul 18, 2022 at 03:43:25 PM

Hello my backers,

Kickstarter finished their pledge collection process for the campaign today, and surveys will be going out this week. The first wave of surveys is what is called a "Smoke Test" and only goes out to 5% of backers. It's to make sure that there are no technical issues with the survey. If the initial test has no issues, the surveys will be sent out to the rest of the backers the next day.

If you pledged for the full collection of files, you will receive all files in one 217 MB ZIP file after you receive the survey.

If you pledged at a lower level, the survey will allow you to choose the dice packs you want. The links to the individual ZIP files you chose will then be sent to you.

Thanks,

Chuck

Thank You, My Dice File Backers!

Howdy! The dice file Kickstarter was successful far beyond my expectations thanks to your support. I'll be sending out surveys soon that will allow you to pick the sets you want. You will then receive a link to download the files you chose.

Happy Monday and thanks again!

Time for Some Halftime Thank-Yous
almost 2 years ago – Thu, Jun 23, 2022 at 04:46:43 PM

Howdy, Backers!

We're halfway through the 20-day campaign, and you have made it succeed beyond my expectations. Thank you!

Since all rewards are digital and already completed, you may be wondering what this campaign is funding. Over the course of the pandemic, I completed many new models (some dice, some not), but have not had the chance to order prototypes. Once this Kickstarter ends, I will order the prototypes of two full-sized dice sets in steel, three miniature sets in cast metals, and several large non-dice models in plastic. Here are some large colloidal solids I'll be trying out:

...and here is a free-range asterisk:

I'll be making the .STL files of these models available to all backers after I receive the physical prototypes.

Thanks again!
